...are not my area of expertise and I'm trying to compile a book list. Any ideas? I have the obvious ones like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Black Beauty and so on, but I really need help. I'm particularly looking for further books in series such as Anne of Green Gables and any other titles written before 1900 that would be viewed as classics of children's literature.

HELP!

Phyllis

I have about 8 books in the Anne series, but they are all published in the mid 1920s! Presumably as Anne is celebrating her centenary this year, she was first published in 1908?

Thanks Marian. Well now I have surely proven that this is not my area of expertise. If you look at the book list section you'll see that I've wimped out and just given a link to a website. It's not a very comprehensive list but it's a start.
